About us

We are an experimental condensed matter physics research group in the Department of Physics at Hanyang University.

We develop and utilize a wide range of optical techniques to gain a better understanding of the dynamic phenomena occurring in quantum materials, which exhibit macroscopic behaviors that lack classical counterparts.

Through our research, we strive to unravel the mysteries of these fascinating materials by exploring their intricate behaviors at femtosecond timescales and nanometer lengthscales.

July 2023: Our lab construction is currently in progress. We're thrilled about our upcoming ventures!
June 2023: Our group has been awarded funding by the National Research Foundation of Korea (최초혁신실험실)
May 2023: Spin information can propagate at incredible velocities! Our paper on spin wavepacket precursors has been published in PNAS.
April 2023: We warmly welcome Yong Jae, Sung Hee, and Yong Min to our research group.
